With its Palladian grandeur and Georgian interiors, Paxton House always carries the air of a pleasure palace of a bygone era. That feeling of refined enjoyment was cleverly mined by the soprano Rowan Pierce and the pianist Christopher Glynn in their programme at this years Music at Paxton festival.
